1 Out of 7 Billion
The world is getting smaller everyday but a lifetime is not enough to explore it. My adventure starts in Singapore.

Since the holiday fell in the middle of the week, I can’t help but consider today as a Sunday.
940am
Left my place for Takashimaya to claim what I was told to be a complimentary massage or foot spa at True Yoga. After a few calls by one of their staff, I didn’t have any choice but to confirm at least one hour that I can drop by such place. It’s free anyway. I arrived at 10am.
I haven’t had a massage in ages so I chose to have that instead of the foot spa. It was just weird having a 50+ year old auntie sit on my back to do her thing (of course, in a professional way). As with any reputable spa, there was a thin cloth that prevented her hands from directly touching my skin (same set up as The Spa in Manila, Philippines).
I then prepared myself for the post-massage sales talk. The sales consultant offered me a package worth approx SGD 5,000 for 2 years (2 massage sessions + 2 foot spa + 1 facial treatment per month). Knowing how lazy I am in setting up appointments with places like that, I really could not be bothered spending that much for it. It’s also a big investment which I would rather spend on traveling, shopping, or topping up my insurance. Sensing that she was offering me something on a “you need to sign up now ” basis, I decided not to waste her time and mine. It’s so priceless to see a salesperson’s facial reaction suddenly change when he/she hears the hard and painful truth… Sorry, nice try though.
11.00 to 11.30 am
Grabbed a healthy snack from one of the stalls near Heeren then decided to go on a random bus ride. This time, I was bound for Yio Chou Kang.
11.30 to 12.45 pm
SBS Bus 162M left Orchard and traveled through the city hall area, back to Orchard (!!!), Novena, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, then finally Yio Chou Kang.
During the journey, I enjoyed being a cam whore and took multiple self-shots since there weren’t a lot of passengers in the bus.
12.45 pm
I alighted at the YCK bus terminal, walked a few meters (near the area where Nanyang Poly was located), and took bus 72 which was bound for Hougang MRT. I went down to get some lunch at a nearby hawker center. Had more than enough for a meal — noodles + (black) carrot cake. Could have done away with the black carrot cake but that’s my fave so had to get it.
2.00 pm
I was hoping to take the MRT from Hougang to Harbourfront but decided midway to take a cab from Potong Pasir (a station I have not exited from).
3.00 pm
Saved a few minutes, reached home, fixed some stuff, then went to Vivo to have my hair highlighted. Sorry, only “after” photos are available.
5.00 pm
Made a few rather impulse purchases in Vivo before buying dinner and deciding to stay home for the rest of the day.
What a relaxing yet productive Hari Raya holiday for me.

I didn’t realise my blog already has 1,000 hits. Hope to find more interesting stuff to write about.
After dinner and coffee/tea with Fanni, Wee Siong, Kristy, and Vincent, I decided to book a cab and requested that I be picked up at Liat Towers just off Orchard Road.
I waited longer than usual and realised that the cab driver attempted to call me 2x. Unfortunately, my mobile phone was on beep mode (as always) so obviously I could not hear it. Besides, I seldom get calls from cab drivers even when I book.
When I saw his missed calls, I returned the call and a few seconds after I saw the cab (finally) arriving.
Upon boarding the cab, the cab driver said he called me “many, many” times.
What?!? How can 2x be “many” ? Moreso, “many, many”. I have to admit I was annoyed irritated.
Few = 2-3
Many = more than 3
I was scanning the license plate of each cab that drove along the narrow road and without any alcohol intake tonight, I swear I never saw his cab passing by. And how am I supposed to know he was waiting a few meters away? Not sure how the cab managed to spring out of nowhere.
I didn’t argue and just hoped to be driven home safe and sound.
Upon alighting the cab, I apologised (again) and paid the driver $2 extra dollars than the fare on the meter. Actually $2.20. Is that “few” or “many” dollars?
I don’t consider myself as a cam whore. But I know several who are (in a nice way).
Had lunch with the fam at Changi terminal 3. Compared with the Din Xiao Er branch at Vivo City, we found the one at T3 less crowded.
I really find the natural light at T3 awesome. I look lighter than usual in photos haha.
Here’s a creative shot my sister took when I was practicing the art of self-photography.
I tell my friends that when it’s about to rain here in Singapore, it feels like the world is about to end.
I like it when it rains especially when I have my reliable H&M black foldable umbrella inside my weekend bag or when I’m stuck indoors with no immediate appointment to head to.
Here’s my rather “don’t drive too fast, Mr cab driver” journey from Changi Terminal 3 back to my place this Saturday early afternoon.
